Campaign To Open Up Hospitality Spaces For Remote Workers

DEEDEE DOKE – 22 February 2021

At Pearl Group UK we source staff into many sectors, one of which is hospitality. It is crucial we stay relevant with the industries changes in these uncertain times. A campaign is underway to convince UK leaders to allow hospitality venues to reopen as a base for remote workers.

Founder and CEO of Work Anywhere Hub James Santi said: “We believe hospitality venues should not be forced to suffer any more.” The proposal puts forward a case for allowing all venues to open as remote, Covid-safe workspaces “until we are allowed to reopen to the public. This might not be until May so we need to be making use of our spaces now”, Santi said.

He went on to say: “Pubs, restaurants, cinema, hotels, we all have space to rent, and workers do not want to take public transport to travel to work. So let us open up as remote workspaces thus reviving our businesses, offering a safe environment for employees in which to work, and offering employers pay per day workspace locations to enable them to cut overheads.”

“Lockdown is crippling the hospitality industry,” Santi said.
